Some people think that the key to success lies within their daily routines. Do you agree with this, and if so, what is your daily routine?
My daily routine varies but there are some constants. I always begin my day in meditation and prayer, exercise, and helping my kids get ready for a successful start to their days!
Looking back at your teenage years, did you have any entrepreneurial interests?
Before I became an entrepreneur in my adult life I was dedicated to helping others through volunteering, performing on stage, and teaching. This is why Biden gave me the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for my over 4,000 hours of volunteer service and why I made the “The World my Classroom.”
Is there a specific time of day when you feel most productive?
Nighttime is super productive for me. Like the middle of the night when the rest of the world is sleeping!
Do you think there is one character trait/skill that is important to have in order to become a successful entrepreneur in today’s world?
Resiliency is key because change and challenge will come, you need to know how to rebound and level up.
Has being a woman in the business world affected you positively or negatively, and how so?
It is difficult at times but I have learned to channel my divine feminine side to attract the opportunities that are made for me.
What is one major goal that you wish to achieve by 2030?
I want to have traveled to all the locations that my Global Sisterhood nonprofit has served and be side-by-side supporting the women leaders from our college for entrepreneurship in Tanzania to Nepal wherein we supported the teaching of 87,000 women how to read and write.
Who is your biggest influence, and why?
My mentor in heaven Dr. Jim Henderson because he pushed me forward towards my dreams and goals by giving me a chance when others couldn’t see my potential.
If you could pick one female entrepreneur, who would you say is your biggest inspiration?
My “Business Bestie” is Marta Sauret-Greca who owns Media – The Creative Agency and she inspires me by running 2 multi-million dollar companies while raising 6 kids and actively serving in my Exec Board for my nonprofit.
What has been the most formative advice you have received and why?
“Give until it helps – Not until it hurts.”
– Maya Angelou
What has been the most impressive/memorable question anyone has ever asked you?
How do you personally define success?
If you have siblings, are they also entrepreneurs?
Yes. I have a younger brother named John who is an entrepreneur who owns and runs his own urgent care practice in Wyoming.
Do you think the drive to become an entrepreneur is born with or is learned?
I believe that the drive to become an entrepreneur can be born or learned. The ability to lead is an innate ability.
