Some people think that the key to success lies within their daily routines. Do you agree with this, and if so, what is your daily routine?
I am a big advocate of a disciplined routine. I always spend at least an hour working out as It clears my head and makes me feel good. I always pack as much as I can into every day. I think being a disciplined and motivated person generally Aligns with success.
Looking back at your teenage years, did you have any entrepreneurial interests?
Sadly not! I was a very mischievous teenager, and looking back now, I wished I worked harder in school. I always wonder what I could have done if I had focused more on academics. I was very driven when I applied myself!! My message to all kids is to work hard!!
Is there a specific time of day when you feel most productive?
Yes! Early morning. I like to wake up early and be productive. It enables me to make the most of the day. My daughter, who is 15 years old, is also an early riser, no matter how late she goes to bed. There is a saying I love to quote that the early bird gets the worm.
Do you think there is one character trait/skill that is important to have in order to become a successful entrepreneur in today’s world?
Most successful people have failed at something. I think learning to deal with failure is an important lesson. And when you find your passion to work hard.
Has being a woman in the business world affected you positively or negatively, and how so?
I have always found it positive to be a woman. It’s hard to criticize people who work hard. I’m Asian, born and grew up in Hong Kong. In China, there are more women billionaires than anywhere else in the world. Nothing beats a driven and hard-working woman. Plus, we can multitask!!
What is one major goal that you wish to achieve by 2030?
By 2030 I would love to climb another 8,000-metre peak.
Who is your biggest influence, and why?
My grandmother was one of the first women in Nepal in 1929 travelling as a nurse on a climbing expedition. She was a pioneer of adventure travel. She broke barriers as to what women could do.
If you could pick one female entrepreneur, who would you say is your biggest inspiration?
Coco Chanel for her unique style
What has been the most formative advice you have received and why?
My friend, the famous explorer Mike Horn told me if we are lucky, we have 30,000 days on earth.. make the most of them, which I always try to do. And I try to take every opportunity that comes my way.

How do u go to the loo in the mountains!!!
If you have siblings, are they also entrepreneurs?
Yes, my brother is an entrepreneur in finance, and my sister is a record-breaking ultra runner.
Do you think the drive to become an entrepreneur is born with or is learned?
I think it’s a combination of both. You need the drive within you, but it can also be learned later In life. I was always Competitive, and I applied that sense of competition in everything I did. I always use competition as a motivator!!
